Composable security for practical quantum key distribution with two way classical communication

چکیده

We present methods to strictly calculate the finite-key effects in quantum key distribution (QKD) with error rejection through two-way classical communication (TWCC) for sending-or-not-sending twin-field protocol. Unlike normal QKD without TWCC, here probability of tagging or untagging each two-bit random group is not independent. rigorously solve this problem by imagining a virtual set bits where every bit independent and identical. show relationship between outcome starting from imagined containing identical real non-independent bits. With explicit formulas, we that simply applying Chernoff bound calculation gives correct rate, but failure changes little bit.

Security of quantum key distribution protocols using two-way classical communication or weak coherent pulses

A fundamental problem in cryptography is to enable two distant parties, traditionally called Alice and Bob, to communicate in absolute privacy, even in presence of an eavesdropper, Eve. It is a well known fact that a secret key, i.e., a randomly chosen bit string held by both Alice and Bob, but unknown to Eve, is sufficient to perform this task (one-time pad encryption). Thus, the problem of se...

Proof of security of quantum key distribution with two-way classical communications

Shor and Preskill have provided a simple proof of security of the standard quantum key distribution scheme by Bennett and Brassard (BB84) by demonstrating a connection between key distribution and entanglement purification protocols with one-way communications. Here we provide proofs of security of standard quantum key distribution schemes, BB84 and the six-state scheme, against the most genera...

Security of quantum key distribution protocol with two-way classical communication assisted by one-time pad encryption

In this paper, we consider a quantum key distribution protocol (QKD) with twoway classical communication that is assisted by one-time pad encryption. We propose a two-way preprocessing that uses one-time pad encryption by previously shared secret key, and the net key rate of the QKD with proposed preprocessing exceeds the key rate of the QKD without it. The preprocessing is reduced to the entan...

Error tolerance of two-basis quantum key-distribution protocols using qudits and two-way classical communication

We investigate the error tolerance of quantum cryptographic protocols using d-level systems. In particular, we focus on prepare-and-measure schemes that use two mutually unbiased bases and a key-distillation procedure with two-way classical communication. For arbitrary quantum channels, we obtain a sufficient condition for secret-key distillation which, in the case of isotropic quantum channels...
